MarfakTM XD 2 M3 is a high performance blackish, smooth buttery water stabilized calcium grease. It contains selected solid graphite and molybdenum disulfide additives to help offer reliable protection in heavy duty operations.

Applications

Chevron recommends Marfak XD 2 M3 for use on fifth wheels and open gears in construction machinery, ball mill gears and large enclosed spur gears where oil leakage is a problem.

Marfak XD 2 M3 can also be used to lubricate:

  • Forklift rails and wheel-drive gears
  • Slipper drives in steel mills
  • Dredging cutting heads and back-up legs
  • Travelling water screens

Marfak XD 2 M3 can be used at higher temperatures than +60°C in cases where the carrier grease is thermally decomposed leaving the solid mineral additives to afford lubrication. About 22% graphite and 3% MoS2 will remain.
